David, born ca. 1143/52, died 17.6.1219 at Yardley, Northants., and was buried in Sawtrey Abbey, Hunts., succeeded his father as Earl of Huntingdon, Earl of Northumberland, Earl oif Carlisle and Earl of Doncaster on 12.6.1152. He was created Earl of Garioch in ca. 1180 and Earl of Cambridge and Earl of Lennox in 1205. He was deprived of all his English honours in 1215/16, but restored to them on 13.3.1218. 18. Robert I, "the Bruce", born 11.7.1274, probably at Writtle, near Chelmsford, Essex, succeeded his father as Earl of Carrick 27.10.1292 and as Lord of Annandale in 1295(?) or in 1304. On 25 or 27.3.1306 he asumed the Crown and Royal Dignity of Scotland, thus bringing to an end the Second Interregnum. This he did in defiance of Edward I of England, who declared his English estates forfeit on 20.2.1305/6. The Bruce was crowned on 27.3.1306 at Scone Abbey, Perthshire. Married 1stly ca. 1295 Isabella, dr. of Donald, 6th Earl of Mar, and Helen.

Marjorie, born ca. 1297, died 2.3.1316 at Paisley, Renfrewshire, in childbed, ater falling from her horse, and was buried in Paisley Abbey, married Walter, born 1292, son of James, 5th High Stewart of Scotland, and Cecilia, dr. of Patrick, 7th Earl of Dunbar and March. Walter succeeded his father as 6th High Stewart of Scotland, from which title derived the royal surname of Stewart.

20. Robert II, born 2.3.1316 at Paisley, Renfrewshire, created Earl of Atholl 16.2.1342, and Earl of Strathearn ca. 6/13.11.1357/8. Succeeded David II as King of Scotland as the first Stewart King on 22.2.1371, married 1stly 1336 Elizabeth Mure, dr. of Sir Adam Mure of Rowallan, Ayrshire.

21. Johanna Stewart, Princess Royal of Scots, born ca. 1340, died …. married Sir John Lyon of Forteviot, 1st of Glamis. Chamberlain (died 4.11.1382).

29. Gilbert Mortimer (Hillebrand Andersen Skotte), born 1583 in Dundee, died 1629 in Stubbekøbing, Falster, Maribo Count. Denmark. Married ca. 1615 to Gundel Carstensdatter, parents unknown. Merchant in Stubbekøbing, to which city he came around 1607 with his sister Janet.

30. Carsten Hillebrandsen Mortimer, born ca. 1624 in Stubbekøbing. He probably was a Merchant in Stubbekøbing, Denmark, married to Maren Jespersdatter, parents not known. Descendandant of the Martner family in Maribo Count. Denmark:
